Autenticitate: Farfuria are, pe avers, semnătura autorului gravurii „naar du Chattel” și, pe revers, marcajul „Made for Royal Sphinx by BOCH Holland” și „Delfts”.

Stare: Impecabilă, fără defecte.
Dimensiuni: 39,5 cm diametru și 5,5 cm înălțime/adâncime. Farfuria - care este cea mai mare pe care eu am văzut-o - are două orificii pentru sfoară, în vederea expunerii pe perete.

Prețul:

Am stabilit prețul acestei superbe farfurii la €150 - preț cu €450 mai puțin sau de patru ori mai mic decât cel al piețeii!

Descriere:
Farfuria, din faianță (este și foarte grea!), este realizată de „Willeroy & Boch” - care la vremea aceea (cca. 1920) era singura ce putea produce, la asemenea dimensiuni, un transfer de imagine, sub smalț, a unei gravuri - calotă sferică de 40 cm, diametru!
„Royal Delfts” - cu care pictorul conlucrase în a doua jumătate a sec. XIX - deținea drepturile de autor ale gravurii, astfel că a apelat la „Willeroy & Boch” pentru a realiza o ediție limitată. De unde - caz neobișnuit - apare și dublul marcaj.

Ce pot să asigur, pe un eventual cumpărător, este faptul că vorbim despre un produs 100% autentic, de colecție, de valoare, și de un bun simț estetic indubitabil!

Fredericus Jacobus van Rossum du Chattel was born in Leiden on 10 February 1856. His father Jan Hendrik van Rossum du Chattel was a Sunday painter who also had fun in restoring old paintings and panels. He understood exactly what was going on in son when he expressed the will to resume painting.
